Just by looking at our old brewery building you can already tell that we look back on a long line of tradition. But only first when you are a guest will you fully grasp the depth of our tradition and history.
Where others tend to teardown and throw away all the old, we have left everything as it once was hundreds of years ago. If and when we have modernized, it has always been done with care. That which has been handed down to us has always been treated with the utmost respect. You can see it and feel it as you walk through our doors. We are pleased, and find it is a true honor, to be able to welcome you into this genuine rarity.
A rustic saloon with wood-paneled walls and cockled hearth; small beer tables and benches cut from old oak; a dim, intimate parlor with an old world charm that’s hard to find anywhere else these days.
Everything seems right where it belongs at Mahr’s Bräu. And if there’s no more room in the pub, there are plenty of other rooms, filled with Frankish nostalgia, where you can make yourself comfortable.
Our Brew Pub is open from Monday thru Sunday from 9:00am – 11:30pm. If that’s still not enough time for you, there’s always the possibility to buy beer by the bottle. Or maybe you need a keg? You got it! 5-liter kegs are also available. Your beer will always be served at the proper drinking temperature of 5°C (41°F).
Would you like a reservation?

THOSE WHO DRINK WELL,
MOST ALSO EAT WELL!
One should never leave Mahr’s Bräu hungry. To ensure that this never happens, we offer you plenty to eat in our pub.
To ring in the new era of Michel, we have fully renovated our kitchen. Because, we understand that no matter how good something is, there’s always room for improvement. This is also an important part of our philosophy for what really matters when establishing an outstanding brewery and pub.
Just as we are not satisfied with brewing just any beer, we offer cuisine that is characterized by its originality, zeal and a strong regional focus. We want you to eat a good meal with us, whether it is a hearty “Brotzeit” (a traditional light meal of bread with varied meats and cheeses served on a cutting board), a savory Frankish Braten (succulent roast) or anyone of our many exquisite, new, imaginative dishes. We also offer vegetarian and light cuisine with a distinctly regional flair. We set the bar for our food as high as we set it for our beer.
AND IF THE WEATHER’S NICE, YOU GOTTA GET OUTSIDE!
THAT’S WHY THERE’S A BEER GARDEN.
Just so there is no misunderstanding: Mahr’s taste great no matter what the season. Even in the worst weather and the bitterest of colds, our beer will always put you in a good mood. However, it tastes really good…really, really, really good, when it’s warm outside and the sun is shining through the chestnut trees, casting lazy shadows on our beer garden. Together with a nice meal or Brotzeit you’ll feel like you’re on a vacation.
Now you could just take our word for it, or you could come by and check it out for yourself, maybe over one or two mugs of beer. We’ll be expecting you.
BELOVED DRINKING MONUMENTS
THE “STEHGAMMLER” IN THE “SCHWEMM” (AKA BUMMIN’ AROUND THE WATERING HOLE)
