It’s a special kind of event, not just for beer freaks and connoisseurs: the 2018 London Craft Beer Festival delivered an impressive line-up that did not disappoint.
More than 65 of the world’s best breweries brought hundreds of the world’s preeminent beers to the Tobacco Docks in London, August 3rd thru the 5th, 2018. It was a great opportunity for numerous beer lovers to take a look behind the scenes of great breweries, highlighted by tastings and one-to-one conversations with world renowned brewers. A myriad of guests learned remarkable stories about some of their favorite beers or had a chance to get to know some of the true superstars within the global brewing community.
This was Mahr’s Bräu’s first time participating in the event. Even though they were just one of the many traditional breweries organized to present at this momentous collection of craft beer breweries, it turns out that yours truly, hailing from Bamberg’s Wunderburg, was the oldest established brewery at this year’s gathering.
The festival was complemented by well-known London chefs from the best restaurants and street food venders in the game. In pop-up kitchens they topped off the event, delighting visitors by conjuring up first-class dishes that paired perfectly with the diverse beer selection.
Good beer is something to revel and enjoy – a thing to be celebrated – and this is done best with the right music. A stellar roster of bands played numerous sets, including DJ highlights, setting the atmosphere at the London Docklands and making it an unmistakable journey through something truly special.
