The Hat Trick – Mahr’s Bräu “Pils”, “aU” and “Sommerpils” bring home gold and silver

The Frankfurt International Beer Trophy is the first major international competition in Germany, which brings together international experts and experienced amateurs on a jury to honor the best beers in their class within 65 beer categories. Amateurs and experts agree: Wunderburg’s beers are among the best! Three awards were given to Mahr’s Bräu in the historic fest hall of the “Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten” in Frankfurt. The cold-hopped Mahr’s Bräu Pils received the best possible award, namely the “Grand Gold”, in the category “Untergärig – Bohemian Style Pilsner” (Untergärig meaning bottom-filtered). The light “Sommerpils” was awarded silver in the category “Untergärig – Leichtbier” and our “Ungespundetes Kellerbier” better known as “U” took home the silver in the category “Untergärig – German-style Kellerbier”.
